Wakefield Support Group For Autism

Image to followGROUP MONTHLY MEETINGS

Are, for the immediate to medium term, not taking place. this is because, despite excellent facilities for children and parents, few or no people attended.

The building we used to meet is pictured here on the right, it occupies the junction of Thornes Road and Horbury Road.       It is next door to "Redcats". Or, if you recall, the former "Empire Stores" building.

I've left it up here because it is a rather nice piece of modern architecture.       Don't you think?

REGULAR ACTIVITIES

Wakefield Autism Support - Youth Group

(posted/ revised here Sunday 29th. May 2007)

The Youth Group is for "High School" aged young people (11 to 18).       We meet at St. Swithins Community Centre, Eastmoor on alternate Tuesdays - between 6.30 p.m. and 8.00 p.m.

We do go out on trips, so please do contact Laura Clayton at this link before you turn up so you don't miss us.

Parents are required to stay on the premises for the first few weeks until everyone gets to know each other.

We have a lot of things planned for the summer - including an animation workshop throughout the holidays.

Volunteers are always needed - so please get in touch if you can offer some time.

Please contact me, Laura Clayton at 01924 270144 or email me for more information.
