Wakefield Support Group For Autism

These are our group contacts.       Most, but not all are committee members.       As mentioned earlier, please feel free to speak to any of us, we honestly do mean it when we say "we're here to help".

My (website editor) apologies for the present incomplete nature of this page.       There are a number of reasons for this, initially because I didn't wish to put peoples home addresses or their 'phone numbers on this very public page without their permission.       Now we have a number of imminent changes approaching so I'll delay updating this page until then.      

However I have spent a lot of hours completely updating the whole site on Wednesday 2nd. March 2005.

  • Laura has autism.     She also fulfils a useful and valuable function within our group, that of purchasing, compiling, organising and overseeing all aspects of this valuable and unique resource, probably the second largest and comprehensive autism specific library in Yorkshire.     The largest certainly belonging to our good friends in the Huddersfield Support Group.

  • Carole's daughter, Karen has a son with Asperger Syndrome, also called Matthew!     Carole has ably looked after our publicity for some time now, liasing and employing her fine relations with the local media on our groups behalf.     Carole also expends a great deal of effort for us serving on forums and similar groups for the benefit of all our children.

  • Following Rob Hudson's unfortunate ill health we now have an editorial team.     I'm sure you'll all join me in thanking them for offering themselves so promptly in helping our group, enabling this contact with our members to continue.         Let's hope we can now all now repay them by writing one item each per year?
