  • Norma has been part of our group for several years now, has a 21 year old daughter with autism, Laura.       Norma is often the first contact within the group many parents of newly diagnosed children make.

  • Denise has been a member of our support group for many years and previousely served as Chair.     After a rest, she is back on the committee, keeping track of the money and trying to persuade the committee not to spend it all at once!    
    She has two gorgeous children, Hannah 12 and Matthew 10.
    Matthew has classic autism and they all live their own "normal" family life, with Matthew participating when he wants to!

  • Laura has autism.     She also fulfils a useful and valuable function within our group, that of purchasing, compiling, organising and overseeing all aspects of this valuable and unique resource, probably the second largest and comprehensive autism specific library in Yorkshire.     The largest certainly belonging to our good friends in the Huddersfield Support Group.

  • Carole's daughter, Karen has a son with Asperger Syndrome, also called Matthew!     Carole has ably looked after our publicity for some time now, liasing and employing her fine relations with the local media on our groups behalf.     Carole also expends a great deal of effort for us serving on forums and similar groups for the benefit of all our children.
